Radiology
As the Central Hospital Istanbul Radiology Unit, we offer services to our patients with equipments that catch up to modern technologies and experienced staff.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine is an important branch of diagnostic radiology that provides unique physiologic information about disease processes. Nuclear medicine involves the use of radioactive materials in either a diagnostic or therapeutic manner.
PET-CT Scan
PET/CT is one of the most effective imaging techniques available today. It is particularly effective in diagnosing tumors in oncology, determining the degree to which a tumor has spread, planning radiotherapy, assessing the response to treatment and sometimes, it can determine if a mass is benign or malignant. PET/CT is the result of the combination of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) which displays the metabolic function of the organs and tissue in the human body, and CT (Computerized Tomography) which produces detailed, anatomical information. The PET/CT device is instrumental not only in oncology, but also in determining epilepsy, neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s and to pinpoint healthy tissue in the heart following a heart attack.
Scintigraphy
Scintigraphy is an imaging method in which special external imaging detectors, called Gamma Cameras, track the location and volume of very small doses of radiopharmaceuticals which are given to the patient intravenously. This method is used for producing two-dimensional images of bones, heart, brain and kidneys.
Laboratories
Central Hospital Laboratories were evaluated by LABPT which is internationally recognized and authorized by the TR Ministry of Health and the test results of hospital were found reliable at international level.
